The Electoral Justice of the province of Buenos Aires made official this Thursday, November 2, Julio Alak as mayor of La Platafollowing narrowly beating Julio Garro in the general elections.
In a press conference in the late hours of Thursday, the authorities rejected Garro’s request to reopen all the polls, since “the deadline established to formulate claims for the final scrutiny expired on October 31 at 6 p.m..”
In this way, they established that “the initial difference between one group and the other has not been reversed,” which is why Alak was declared the winner in a very close election.
