Almost two weeks following his capture, the journalist Ezequiel Guazzora was prosecuted and seized this Thursday in the context of the case in which he is being investigated for sexual abuse and corruption of minors. The reporter, known for his political activism and having been candidate for legislator in the recent PASOhe was a fugitive for 67 days and when he sat in front of the magistrate, once arrested, refused to testify. He is accused of offering drugs in exchange for having relations with a 15-year-old teenager.
According to what was reported from the case, following analyzing the evidence, the court ordered to impose his prosecution with preventive detention. for the crime of sexual abuse aggravated by having been committed with carnal access in ideal competition with corruption of minors.
also ordered an embargo on his assets valued at 1,204,500 pesos. Both measures, however, may be appealed for their defense in the Crime Chamber.
The court had ordered his capture, with a reward included, last August and led to an intense search operation by the Secretariat for the Capture of Fugitives (Secap) dependent on the Fiscal Unit Specialized in Complex Criminal Investigation (Ufecri).
Finally, following more than two months, the federal police managed to arrest him in a house in Merlo, province of Buenos Aires, where he had been hidden by a friend. He was located there by a phone he was using and it returned the geolocation.
