Tunisian-Egyptian coordination to transfer volunteer doctors to field hospitals to treat the wounded in Gaza
The Ministry of Health announced the establishment of a field hospital designated to receive the wounded from the bombing on Gaza With a capacity of 120 beds, the Tunisian Doctors Association began registering the names of volunteer doctors from multiple specialties, who expressed their willingness to move to provide medical assistance in field hospitals in coordination between the Tunisian Red Crescent and its Egyptian counterpart.
The spokesman for the Tunisian Deanship of Physicians, Nizar Al-Adhari, said, “Tunisian doctors in various specialties are ready to travel to Egypt to treat the wounded Palestinians who are being transported from Gaza.”
Regarding receiving injured Palestinians in Tunisian hospitals and private clinics, Al-Adhari said, “Tunisian doctors and health institutions are ready for this, but the matter remains in the hands of the official authorities who are responsible for coordinating their transfer operations.”
He added, “The Deanship of Tunisian Physicians is following the field developments in terms of health and is ready for various forms of intervention that will be coordinated following the start of the crossing of ambulances from the Rafah crossing into the Gaza Strip to transport a number of injured Palestinians to receive treatment.”
Since October 12, the Deanship of Tunisian Physicians has announced its full readiness to send aid and medical teams for relief and medical work to the Palestinian people, in coordination with international organizations to surround the wounded in order to support the efforts of the medical teams present on the field.
Yesterday, the Minister of Health, Ali Murabit, inspected the hospital Al-Maidani in Yasminat, Ben Arous Governorate, and the extent of the readiness of this medical facility and all the services it provides, in preparation for the possibility of receiving the wounded from the Palestinian people in the coming period, according to what the Ministry published on its Facebook page.
The Hamas government said that at least 195 Palestinians were killed in the Israeli attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp, strikes that Israel says killed leaders in the movement.
