Interview to Rosendo Gualima Padilla. Philosopher, Theologian, Pedagogue and Anthropologist. After spending more than ten years, as a Catholic priest, on a mission through the Amazon jungle of Peru, alongside the indigenous Ashéninka communities, the church put him at a crossroads and he had to choose between the Christian spiritual path or the Amazonian tradition.

He is recognized as a traditional doctor and shaman, among his indigenous contemporaries and from centers with more than 30 years of experience, such as I don’t knowwith whom he has collaborated.

Rosendo Gualima carries out psychospiritual accompaniment processes, personal development, as well as healing work through the use of Amazonian plants.

In the first part of the interview, Rosendo Galima explains what led him to become a Catholic priest and become a missionary, as well as his time in the army. And how from his coexistence with the Ashéninka indigenous communities, in the Amazon jungle, he learned another way of conceiving diseases and other ways of curing them.

In the second part, He tells us regarding his personal transformation in connection with the jungle environment. About the teachings of plants and how they use them to heal, following their ancient tradition.
