Finally, a friend managed to make contact with the young person by telephone, who stated that he had gotten lost in a forest. The search on the shores of Lake Mondsee was then immediately stopped and relocated to the forest areas. After an hour of searching, the search teams found the young man there – slightly hypothermic – around five in the morning.
Hit-and-run: Police are looking for the driver
Fortunately, the search for the missing teenager was successful, and the police are still investigating a hit-and-run case: two young women who were on the street shortly following 3 a.m. following the festival B154 They were walking home towards Mondsee and saw a black car hit a pedestrian in front of them. However, the driver did not stop and continued driving. The women rushed to help the injured man, who was able to get up once more following the impact, and alerted emergency services. The young man, a 21-year-old from the Gmunden district, had to be taken to hospital with a head injury.
The police are now asking witnesses to contact the Mondsee police station on 059133/4167-100.
Looking for a herd of cows
After the successful search for the young boy, the Guggenberg fire department continued immediately. The trigger was an emergency call that an escaped herd of cows was traveling in the Tiefgraben area. This might not initially be found, which is why the drone group was alerted once more. Ultimately, this was no longer needed and the herd might be located in a meadow. The fire department managed to capture the animals and locate the owner.
