Along the canal that connects Brussels to Charleroi, at the foot of the Ittre lock, a barge like no other sleeps peacefully. Apart from the ducks which sometimes come to finish their gliding flight on the surface of the water, nothing disturbs the tranquility of the place. Built in 1940 in Thames, it has had several owners, including river carriers. Five years ago, the barge, which, for precision, is called “Tabor 67”, dropped anchor and stopped sailing. The last owner had decided to transform it into a gîte and guest room, but following numerous – and costly – transformations, he decided to throw in the towel.
