17-year NHL veteran Paul Stastny is retiring from the NHL, tipster Pierre LeBrun announced.
“I still haven’t filed any paperwork, but we decided in September that that was the end of it,” Stastny said in an interview with LeBrun on The Athletic.
“I still haven’t posted anything on social media. I came into the league without making too much noise and I’m going to leave the same way. »
Paul Stastny has decided to retire following 17 NHL seasons. But I suspect it’s not the last we’ve seen of him in hockey. My interview with Stastny for @TheAthletic ⤵️

Stastny played last season with the Carolina Hurricanes, with whom he recorded nine goals and 13 assists in 73 games.
The forward was a second-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 2005, 44th overall.
The Quebec City native played 1,145 games in the NHL. He played for the Avalanche, Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights.
During his career in the Bettman circuit, Stastny collected 293 goals and 822 points.
During his career, Stastny notably set a record with a streak of 20 consecutive games with at least one point in 2006-2007, a record for a rookie. That season, he finished just behind Evgeni Malkin for the Calder Trophy.
At the international level, he represented the United States at the World Championships in 2013, with whom he won the bronze medal. He also won the silver medal at the 2014 Olympics.
