The Mokattam Court of Appeals Misdemeanor at the South Cairo Court acquitted the defendants in the fraud case once morest the artist Sabry Abdel Moneim.

The Mokattam Misdemeanor Court in South Cairo Court had sentenced 8 people accused of defrauding the artist Sabry Abdel Moneim of one million and 900 thousand pounds to two years’ imprisonment.

The artist Sabry Abdel Moneim said, during the investigations, that the defendants tricked him into buying his apartment with documented contracts, and following the contracts were drawn up, they fled without paying the sale amount. The investigating authorities charged the defendants with several charges of defrauding the artist, Sabry Abdel Moneim, in the amount of one million and 900 thousand pounds in the Mokattam area in Cairo. .

The defendants admitted in the investigations to committing the incident, and the main defendant said that he deluded the artist Sabry Abdel Moneim into buying his apartment for one million and 900 thousand pounds. An accused in the case added that she wrote a check without funds in favor of the famous artist in exchange for a general power of attorney to sell the apartment, and then sold it to a contracting company in partnership with others.
