Switzerland may be renowned for its slowness, but nothing helps. Given the speed at which the world is accelerating, it is being sucked into the future at the same pace as other countries. On October 31, 2023 in Lausanne, the Forum of 100 will focus on what will make Switzerland tomorrow.

Usually, we meet her in dark and crowded clubs where the lights and BPMs are pulsing. But at the beginning of autumn, it was at the Reitschule in Bern that we saw her climb onto a podium of another kind: that of the Swiss Music Prizes, awarded by the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) to eight winners. Alongside trumpeter Erik Truffaz and Bernese accordionist Mario Batkovic, Geneva’s queen of turntables, Sonja Moonear. A pioneer of club culture in French-speaking Switzerland, this DJ and producer with a two-decade career has explored both the underground scene at the end of Lake Geneva and the most prominent international scenes. “I had to ask the person who told me the news on the phone five times if they weren’t playing a joke on me,” she said following the ceremony.
