Logitech Appoints Hanneke Faber as New CEO, Succeeding Bracken Darrell

Hanneke Faber, Group President of Unilever, will succeed the emblematic director Bracken Darrell on December 1st.

Logitech has found its new chief executive officer (CEO), in the person of Hanneke Faber. She will take up her role on December 1, said the Valdo-California specialist in computer peripherals Monday evening.

Ms. Faber is Dutch and most recently worked for consumer goods giant Unilever, where she most recently served as Group President of the company. His responsibilities spanned over 150 countries and included brands, research and development, Unilever Food Solutions B2B business and the supply chain with nearly 60 factories and subcontractors worldwide.

Before Unilever, the future boss of Logitech had held the position of commercial director of retailer Ahold Delhaize in charge of e-commerce for one of the 50 largest e-commerce providers in the world. Before that, she held management positions at Procter&Gamble, notably with the Head & Shoulders and Pantène brands and the cosmetics business.

Ms. Faber also serves as a director and member of the supervisory committee of Tapestry Inc, parent company of the luxury brands Coach, Kate Spade New York and Stuart Weitzman. She was also a member of the board of directors of German Bayer.

As boss of Logitech, Ms. Faber will first work at the company’s headquarters in Switzerland, before establishing herself in Silicon Valley next year.

Former boss Bracken Darrell resigned with immediate effect in mid-June, following ten years in this position. Since then, administrator Guy Gecht has held the position on an interim basis.
