Unfortunately for us, Apple has increased the prices of its Apple Onewhich brings together the company’s main services under a single subscription.
Since its introduction, the purpose of Apple One has always been to offer users a way to save money when subscribing to Apple services, since paying full price for each of them can be a bit heavy on your pocket — even more so considering that individual subscriptions to some of them also increased (read Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade).
Therefore, it is almost natural for us to wonder whether all the savings promised by the company with this subscription are still worth it, considering the new prices. Otherwise, it’s better to just subscribe to one service or another individually, right?
Well, know that this is exactly what we are going to analyze in this article. This way, you can think better regarding what decision to make following this news. Let’s go?
Plano Individual
First, let’s talk regarding the plan Individualwhich brings together the following services:
Apple Music (individual): R$21,90
Apple TV+: R$21,90
Apple Arcade: R$14,90
50GB de armazenamento do iCloud+: R$4,90
If you subscribe to all these services separately, you will have to pay R$63.60 monthly. The Apple One Individual plan now costs R$42.90/month, so in this case you save R$20.30/month (equivalent to 31.9%).
Plano Familiar
Perhaps the most popular for supporting the Family Sharing feature (up to five people besides you in the case of Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade), the Familiar brings together the following signatures:
Apple Music (family): R$34.90 Apple TV+: R$21.90 Apple Arcade: R$14.90 200GB iCloud+ storage: R$14.90
This entire package would cost R$86.60/month if subscribed individually. For Apple One, it costs R$54.90/month, which represents a saving of R$31.70/month (36.6%).
Plano Premium
The third and final plan offered by Maçã is the Premiumwhich includes the same items and benefits as the Family plan, with the exception of Apple Fitness+ (and 2TB of iCloud storage, instead of 200GB):
Apple Music (familiar): R$34,90
Apple TV+: R$21,90
Apple Arcade: R$14,90
2TB de armazenamento no iCloud+: R$49,90
Apple Fitness+: R$29,90
Adding up all the values mentioned, we arrive at the trifle of R$151.50/month — a value drastically higher than the R$89.90 charged by Apple in the Premium plan — a significant saving R$61.60/month (40.6%).
Conclusion
Last year, it’s worth remembering, we made a post very similar to this, following another price adjustment for Apple One. At the time, we found that the savings provided by the Individual, Family and Premium subscription plans were 30,4%, 29,8% e 35,8%respectively.
As these savings are now 31.9%, 36.6% and 40.6% respectively, it is safe to say that it has never made as much sense to subscribe to Apple One as it does now, with special emphasis on the Family and Premium plans. However, this only makes sense, obviously, if you intend to use multiple services at the same time. Otherwise, continue with your individual subscription.
Percentage-wise, previously, the Family plan was the least advantageous — a situation that changed with the most recent adjustment. Now, as you move up the plan, the discount becomes progressively greater.
One tip, of course, is to share Family and Premium plan subscriptions with other people, as they support Family Sharing for some services. This way, you can save even more every month.
