The arrival of a new character, the Wolf, shook up the ecosystem of “Masked Singers” on Sunday, forcing not one, but two singers to remove their masks at the end of this episode celebrating Halloween.

In both cases, no investigator was able to guess who was hiding under Agent 00-Penguin or Lady Greyhound.

It was Érik Caouette from the group 2Frères who took his place in Agent 00-Pengouin, while host Patrice L’Écuyer, who we are delighted to see on TVA, brought Lady Lévrier to life. Yes, it was a man who sang the songs of the astonishing character.

Agent 00-Pingouin covered “Toxic”, by Britney Spears, while Lady Lévrier, astonishingly, moved from the lyrical notes of composer Jacques Offenbach (“Belle nuit, ô nuit d’amour”) to the committed rock of Offenbach (“The voice that I have”).

The arrival of the Wolf was announced at the start of this episode by host Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge. The animal revisited a piece tailor-made for the candy and costume party, the piece “Everybody” (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys.

The Astronaut, the Doll and Mutante Rita were also there, three characters who therefore continue their adventure.

Véronic Dicaire puts on a show

Next Sunday, investigator Véronic DiCaire will return to the stage to offer a performance for which she has obtained carte blanche. She will celebrate the beauty of the world, we were told, surrounded by characters who have left their mark on TVA, which remains number 1 in the ratings week following week.

Produced by Productions Déferlantes, the show “Chanteursmasqués” is broadcast on TVA every Sunday, at 6:30 p.m., just before “Révolution”.
