– Valperca, flagship of farmed perch, risks closing
Founded in Raron (VS) thirteen years ago, Valperca SA is on the verge of bankruptcy. The cause is the rise in costs, the decline in purchasing power and the prices charged by mass distribution. The company is looking for investors.

The Valperca fish farm, in Raron (VS), leader in perch farming, may be living its last weeks. A lack of liquidity, and consequently unpaid or deferred invoices, has placed it on debt restructuring suspension, and the deadline expires at the end of November. “Without an investor within two weeks, we will be forced to close the door,” summarizes its director, David Morard. The call is made.
