Azul Conecta announced that it will start offering direct flights between Belo Horizonte and Salinas, starting on December 6th. Ticket sales will be available starting next week on the Azul website.
Operations between Salinas and BH Airport, one of the company’s main hubs, will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flights will be carried out by Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft, with capacity for nine passengers.
“Salinas is a city with great economic importance and we will connect it with the capital and, from there, with more than 50 other destinations in Brazil and abroad. In this way, we continue to expand our operation in the state, which is now the largest company in destinations served in Minas Gerais, flying to 13 cities and, with Salinas, we will reach 14”, says Vitor Silva, general manager of Network and Planning Strategic of Azul Linhas Aéreas.
Azul also confirmed the studies to have regular operations in the municipality of Araçuaí, located in the Jequitinhonha Valley. At this stage, the company has already established the first negotiations with the city council in order to understand the demand and the infrastructure offered and necessary for such operations.
“This is another Government of Minas Gerais action, in partnership with Azul and BH Airport, to bring more development and business opportunities to the Lithium Valley. The new flights will speed up the region’s connection with Brazil and the world, facilitating the mobility of those who already work there and also enhancing the attraction of more enterprises that will generate more jobs in these municipalities”, highlights the Secretary of State for Development Economic, Fernando Passalio.
