The 2023 edition of La Poste Arbitration Days once once more salutes the work carried out each season by the refereeing body. Year following year, the Refereeing Days aim to remind us of this: they thus pay tribute to the 60,000 often anonymous referees who commit themselves every day to serving the game. This year once more, like what was undertaken in 2022, La Poste places the Arbitration Days under the sign of recruitment and loyalty. The sporting world needs referees and their lasting commitment.
For this 2023 edition under the sign of recruitment and loyalty, from October 10 to 31, La Poste highlights the fact that sports federations are today faced with a double problem: the deficit of candidates for arbitration and the premature withdrawal of many referees. Thus, La Poste is making a concrete commitment for the second consecutive year alongside the federations on this theme. Reducing the number of arbitrators may ultimately pose structural problems. For La Poste, it is therefore important to take its action over the long term in order to promote the arbitration status to encourage the emergence of a new generation of arbitrators.
