This Saturday, Carlos Maslatón expressed his political decision regarding the presidential runoff 2023 which will take place next November 19. “I do not vote for Javier Milei. I vote for Sergio Massa. “He rejected the Macri-Milei pact”he noted on his social networks.
On his X account (former Twitter), the economist made an extensive disclaimer in which he indicated the reasons why he would stop supporting the La Libertad Avanza candidate, whom he voted for in the two previous elections, and would choose to vote for Massa.
One of its most predominant justifications was the controversial agreement that Javier Milei made this week with a PRO sectorwith Patrica Bullrich and Mauricio Macri at the helm, whom he questioned for agreeing with those “causing most of the damage that current Argentina suffers.”
“I anticipated that I would keep my vote firm for 2023 for reasons of political loyalty to the sector, conditional on No electoral agreements or possible co-governments were ever entered into with Mauricio Macri. nor with representatives of the 2018-2019 crash that caused most of the damage that Argentina suffers today,” the statement said.
