As previously announced, on the official site for the anime adaptation of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), a promotional video was revealed for the second half of the last part of the final season of the project. The video maintains the premiere scheduled for next November 4 in Japan and confirms that this special will last approximately 85 minutes (1 hour and 25 minutes).
The press release also confirmed that The popular band Linked Horizon will perform the main theme song for this latest installment of the franchise. This band is known for having performed the most popular opening themes of the franchise, in the first and second seasons.
So far, the anime adaptation of the final season has consisted of a total of twenty-eight episodes and one special. Sixteen of these episodes aired during the season of Winter-2021 (January-March)while the other twelve were broadcast during the season of Winter-2022 (January-March). On the other hand, Hajime Isayama began publishing the manga in the magazine Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in September 2009, concluding it in April 2021. During its publication, the work was compiled into a total of thirty-four volumes.
Production team
Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro, Kakegurui) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios MAP.
Hiroshi Seko (Ajin, Vinland Saga, Mob Psycho 100) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Tomohiro Kishi (Dorohedoro, 91 Days) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
Hiroyuki Sawano is in charge of composing the soundtrack together with Point Yamamoto (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Saga).

Following Eren Yeager’s catastrophic actions, his friends and former enemies form an alliance once morest his genocidal acts. Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackerman and the remaining members of the Survey Corps, once sworn enemies, join forces with Reiner Braun and the survivors of the Marleyan army. Their meager united front sets out on a mission to stop Eren’s wrath and, if possible, save his old comrade in the process. As Eren pushes forward at all costs, he fights his own inner turmoil.
Although he feels immense remorse for his horrible invasion, Eren believes he has noble intentions: he believes that the path forward is the only way to save his friends and, to a greater extent, his people. The opposing battalions spiral towards an inevitable final confrontation that might claim the lives of millions of people. Although they face an army of monsters beyond anything they might have imagined, Mikasa, Armin and their allies remain brave in the face of certain doom.
