Following a gas leak on October 5 at the Total service station in Eynatten, several sections of roads will be closed this Sunday to check that LPG has not spilled into the ground.
“Due to last-minute examinations of the gas pipe at the Total Energies service station located on rue d’Aix-la-Chapelle in Eynatten, the E40 between Eupen and Lichtenbusch will be closed to traffic in both directions, Sunday October 29 between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.,” indicates the Vesdre-Gueule police zone, which specifies that diversions are in place.
The motorway will not be the only one affected since rue d’Aix-la-Chapelle in Eynatten will also be closed.

The station where an LPG leak was noted on October 5 has been closed since the day of the incident and various verification work has been carried out.
Drilling to detect possible pockets of gas must be carried out this Sunday.
A security perimeter of around a hundred meters will be established around the station as part of this work.
