A total of 155,000 euros for more traffic safety and a more beautiful townscape

St. Pölten (OTS) The work on the renovation and redesign of the through-road through St. Bernhard in the municipality of St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen along the L 52 state road has recently been completed. Due to the damage that occurred, the roadway on the L 52 in the St. Bernhard area no longer met today’s traffic requirements. For this reason, the Lower Austrian Road Service and the municipality of St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen have decided, following relocating all the installations, to renovate or re-build not only the road section, but also the existing ancillary areas, especially the sidewalks.

Over a length of 570 meters, at a cost of 155,000 euros (state 80,000 euros, municipality 75,000 euros), the road surface was renewed, sidewalks were renovated or newly laid and a 40 meter long retaining wall was built. The roadway was designed to be around 5.75 meters wide. The Horn road maintenance department carried out the work together with construction and delivery companies from the region in a construction period of around six months.
