Logitech G435 Lightspeed Review – Design and Functionality
We’ve taken a closer look at the product to give you more details in our Logitech G435 Lightspeed review. At 165g, the helmet is extremely light and comfortable; what’s more, you can easily adjust its sliding arms for each cup. It helps provide a perfect fit on your head to avoid any discomfort during use.
Aside from its lightweight design, the G435 Lightspeed also sports soft and comfortable memory foam ear cushions. These are large enough to sit around your ears rather than on them. Additionally, the helmet can stay securely on your head without uncomfortable tightness.
Its cut is perfect for glasses wearers. For what? Because it doesn’t press the temples of your glasses to the sides of your head. Even if the headband is not sufficiently padded, this is not a problem since the headset is light.
Its memory foam ear cushions are breathable, preventing your ears from becoming stuffy and hot. However, it still emits a noticeable amount of sound, partly due to its plastic shape.
Unlike most gaming headsets, the G435 Lightspeed doesn’t have a microphone arm. Instead, it has a dual beamforming mic built into the earcups.
Although they are primarily aimed at gamers, the headset doesn’t look flashy. This means you can wear them during business calls since the headset doesn’t have LED lights.
While writing this Logitech G435 Lightspeed review, we also checked the product’s battery, controls, and connectivity. Logitech has given us an easy-to-access power and volume control, which you can find on the back of its left earcup. However, you won’t find playback controls for playing/pausing music or answering calls.
A microphone mute button is also present and allows you to switch between the USB dongle and the Bluetooth connection. This process makes it easier to switch between your PC and your smartphone.
A USB-C port is also available for charging, which you can use with the included USB-C to A cable. However, keep in mind that no power adapter is included.
You can get 18 hours of music playback from this headset, which is impressive considering its lightweight design. This build and style doesn’t leave much room for built-in batteries.
You cannot check the battery level, but you can estimate it by pressing the power button. If you see a green LED, it means the power is above 30%. When red, it indicates the battery is below 30.
Once it starts flashing red, your battery is below 15%. The headset will also start beeping to alert you to charge. Fortunately, you can still use the headset while charging it via USB.
Keep in mind that the headset does not have a 3.5mm analog audio cable connection. It just means you can’t connect to an Xbox.

Practical with the Logitech G435 Lightspeed
This Logitech G435 Lightspeed review will discuss our hands-on experience with the headset to provide details regarding the product.
Audio quality
In terms of its sound profile, the G435 Lightspeed offers clear and precise sound. The product underemphasizes bass audio and then boosts midrange and bass sounds.
The treble fell earlier than expected. However, there are many non-noticeable sounds above 10kHz in games, movies, and music that you can’t miss.
There’s plenty of clarity on vocals, instruments, and other detailed sounds. Louder sounds don’t drown them out, which is great. However, its under-emphasized sub-bass only means that low, rumbling bass sounds lack impact.
The bass and rhythm guitar were slightly quiet, but the drums and synth never overpowered them. Across most genres, the G435 Lightspeed offered a similarly solid experience. However, tracks with buzzing bass may lack impact with these headphones.
Its frequency response was no problem in video games, no matter what title we were playing. Although the lack of bass emphasis reduced the rumble of gunfire and explosions, the audio quality was still good. Additionally, these sounds were still the loudest in certain scenarios.
The slight emphasis on mids and upper bass made voice chats in Discord more audible. As a result, we communicated well with our teammates.
Although it doesn’t have a customizable equalizer, the warm sound profile enhances in-game sound effects. Additionally, we found the volume limiter handy since the limit was adjustable to 85 or 100 dB.
Battery
As we mentioned, Logitech claims the G435 Lightspeed’s battery lasts up to 18 hours. But to our surprise, it lasted a little longer. With a constant 75 dB output, the headphones lasted 23 hours and 10 minutes.
Logitech G435 Lightspeed Review Summary
The G435 Lightspeed is a good headset from Logitech ideal for young users. Its lightweight, cordless design makes it excellent for users who want long-lasting comfort and convenience. Additionally, you can connect it wirelessly or via USB.
In addition to its superior comfort, its sound quality is better than expected. While not audiophile quality, it was excellent for game audio and voice chat. Additionally, the volume limiter effectively helps protect users’ hearing.
