Darian Bernales, a 16-year-old boy known to everyone as “Tibu” is going through critical moments following suffering a domestic accident that caused severe head trauma.. The teenager is a goalkeeper for the sixth division of the San Lorenzo de Neuquén Social and Sports Club, from where they pray for a miracle.
Julio Quijada, president of the institution, declared to Diario RÍO NEGRO that “the doctors have already done everything possible, now we only ask people to send their good energy and join the prayer chain that their parents called.”
“Tibu” had left his house like every morning to go to school and fell from a staircase in his house in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. The impact caused serious head trauma that led to inflammation of his brain, which is why he underwent emergency surgery and remains in therapy. The emergency transfer required a major operation to the CMIC clinic in Neuquén capital.
Quijada explained that the club is shocked, since the teenager is very loved by his teammates. “This is very painful, but when it happens to a good, respectful and responsible boy it hits twice as hard.”, he said. He also said that his teammates still do not know how they are going to recover in the face of sporting commitments and the lifune tournament that is in progress. “That’s the least of it now, we’re all together waiting for Tibu to get better and come back, we’re just thinking regarding that”he said, noticeably affected.
After the intervention, The family was informed that everything medically possible had been done and that now all that remains is to wait for a recovery.
