Apple TV+ customers will pay almost 43 percent more for their subscription in the United States. The price goes from $6.99 to $9.99 per month. In the Netherlands, prices are rising at more or less a similar pace.
The changes will take effect immediately for new subscribers. Anyone who is already an Apple customer will hear later when the rate will increase. Consumers will also have to pay more for other services such as Apple Arcade and Apple News+.
Apple generates regarding 20 percent of its revenue from services. This includes everything from extra warranty to Apple Pay payment service and subscriptions to Apple Music, for example.
The company is currently redesigning the TV app. It wants to merge various forms of video offering later this year, the news agency reported Bloomberg earlier.
Apple has also recently focused on expanding the film offering on Apple TV+ and the range of games at Apple Arcade.
