Dr. Laila Al Suwaidi, Dean of Student Affairs at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, announced the launch of two new graduate programs this year, namely the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Professions Education and the Master of Science in Health Professions Education. The four-year program is divided into two phases, the first an intensive year for basic sciences and pathology, and the second over a period of three years covering clinical practice.
She added that the university is proud to be part of the Dubai Academic Health Foundation, the first integrated academic health system in Dubai. The institution works by applying its core value of “patients first” to set a global standard for improving health outcomes for future generations. Despite its recent era, the university has gained a high level of trust from The Ministry of Education, and was recently selected as one of the local universities by the Ministry to launch the first phase of the automatic certification service for digital certificates.
She explained that the university includes three colleges that provide students with comprehensive and diverse educational opportunities, which are the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dentistry, the College of Medicine, and the College of Nursing and Midwifery, and offer a wide range of health care programs approved by the Ministry of Education, including a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from Faculty of Medicine, MSc in Biomedical Sciences, PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
The Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dentistry also awards accredited postgraduate certificates that allow graduates to sit for exams at the most prominent dental colleges in the world, while the College of Nursing and Midwifery offers specialized degrees for postgraduate studies, including master’s programs in cardiovascular nursing and pediatric nursing, while providing clinical training.
