Rescuers named the animal Sweet Oddysey following the difficult job of rescuing him (Instagram Animal Haven)
A cat that was trapped inside a car was miraculously rescued following the driver noticed several meows coming from the vehicle. The man had driven from Queens to downtown New York, the journey lasted more than an hour, however, he became aware of the animal’s presence until the end of the road.
The organization in favor of sentient beings, Animal Haven, explained in a post on its Instagram account that the owner of the car heard slight scratches and meows when he was regarding to park in a neighborhood of the American city and braked suddenly to see what was happening.
The man began to inspect the car and suddenly saw that the cat was trapped inside its engine. The feline took one of its paws out of one of the holes and began to cry. The man decided to call the organization in favor of animals to remove the felid as soon as possible.

The group’s collaborators explained that when they got to the car they were worried regarding the feline’s condition, since the animal was crying too much. “When we received a call regarding a kitten trapped in a car near our facility we rushed to his aid,” the shelter administration explained.
The driver and the rescuers immediately went to work rescuing the specimen and with tweezers they managed to make the hole larger so that the feline might get out without any type of injury.
“He was out of our reach, he might only get one of his legs out and he didn’t seem to be able to push himself from the inside to get out of the hole,” the Animal Haven administration detailed regarding how difficult the rescue was. “With a little teamwork, patience and some tempting cat snacks, we managed to get him out of the vehicle,” she added.
Once the feline was taken out of the car, the rescuers realized that it was a baby just a few months old. The animal was taken to a clinic for a medical evaluation and the veterinarian noticed that it did not have an identification chip.

The rescuers named the animal Sweet Odyssey and explained that once it arrived at the shelter it quickly adapted to the environment, as if it knew it would not suffer any longer. “She was clearly very grateful to be safe and sound at Animal Haven and started purring immediately once we took her out of her carrier,” shelter management explained.
The feline managed to survive the entire trip of more than an hour, he showed great resistance and from now on the shelter workers began the work to find him a new home where he can receive the love he needs so much.
“We think it is very likely that he spent the entire trip in the engine cavity, which means he is a very lucky cat,” the shelter concluded.
