Tel Aviv: Israel will provide security to Palestinian citizens who provide information regarding those held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. A leaflet distributed by the Israeli army along the Gaza border also announced financial aid to informants.

“If you want to live a peaceful life, if you want to secure the future of your children, you must do the humanitarian thing. “Please share with us valuable information regarding those detained in your territory,” Israel demanded in the leaflet.

The names of the informants will be kept confidential. The Israeli army will protect informants and their homes. Israel will also provide financial assistance, according to the leaflet. Phone numbers for providing information are also included in the leaflet.

It is reported that more than 200 people have been taken prisoner by Hamas from Israel. More than 1,400 Israelis were killed in the war that began on October 7. The death toll in Gaza exceeded 5,000 in the Israeli attack.

Last day, the Israeli army distributed leaflets demanding an end to the protests along the Gaza-Israel border fence. The leaflets were distributed in the area by military aircraft. Following this, security and financial assistance have been offered to those who provide information regarding the hostages.

Hamas has since released four of the hostages. Qatar mediated the release of two American citizens and two Israeli women on Monday.
