Monday, while a vehicle was driving towards Mons, its driver, for a currently undetermined reason, lost control. According to a witness at the scene, the car rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof and across the two lanes of traffic.

The accident occurred on the E42, just before the bridge and near the Blaton exit.
Emergency services immediately rushed to the scene. The driver is however injured, but his life is not in danger. A recovery team was also called in to evacuate the damaged vehicle. In the meantime, traffic was largely disrupted by this swerve and a diversion was put in place.
By late morning, however, the situation was expected to return to normal.
