Tolle Show
Brilliant: “Queen Theater” in Neulengbach. With a brilliant concert, “Queen Theater” brought the packed Lengenbach Hall to a boil and at the same time set a worthy monument to the greatest rock band of the 1980s.
In 1997, frontman Nick Harras, Mick Glantschnig (drums), Alex Heilig (keyboard), Martin Mader (bass) and Manfred Portsch (guitar) founded a cover band that played current and old hits of various origins under the name “Codex” until 2020. as Nick Harras said at the appearance in Neulengbach. “In 2020, a Queen fan was looking for a band for a 50th birthday party that would perform the celebration exclusively with Queens songs, and we took on the job. We were so enthusiastic regarding these songs that we specialized in them and changed the band name.” And added with a smile: “The birthday party hasn’t happened yet. It was canceled because of Corona and has not yet been rescheduled.”
The five musicians on the court stage rocked the audience with a great performance: They offered a great stage show with a lot of movement and gestures and played powerfully and precisely very close to the original, with the frontman in particular being similar to the legendary Freddie Mercury in his voice and appearance was completely fair. Songs like “Don’t stop me now”, “I want to break free” in the first half or “Another one Bites the dust” and “We are the champions” in the second half were known by everyone present and sang and clapped them enthusiastically with. At the end there were two encores and a frenetic standing ovation.
