Volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Quebec mobilized to distribute several dozen winter clothes to children from disadvantaged backgrounds on Saturday.

More than 475 children will have the opportunity to choose their clothing for the cold season.
The generosity of the organization’s donors contributed to the success of the event.
“When the children come back, it’s a big smile. Then they choose. Parents are not going to dress the children. It’s the children who are there, and they choose. It’s Christmas. It’s a choice, it’s wonderful,” confides Louis Cayouette, working within Kiwanis.

The organization has never given out so many winter clothes, and the need increases every year.
The latter appeals to the population on the importance of giving to organizations helping the most deprived.
“You have to pay for the clothes. It’s definitely increasing from year to year,” he adds.
