On Tuesday, the author of Harry Potter once more created controversy by making transphobic remarks on X (formerly Twitter). JK Rowling shared a photo of a wall on which was written “Repeat following us: trans women are women” and simply commented on the image by writing “No).
Several people followed suit by retaking the photo and changing the word “women” at the end of the sentence to “men.” Then, an Internet user pointed out to him that his comments might earn him two years in prison if the law proposed by the British Labor party is adopted, aimed at protecting transsexual people from hate crimes.
