We asked the question to Stéphane Pallez, boss of Française des jeux, during the press presentation of the new EuroDreams game, common to 8 eight countries including Belgium. Are prize pools that exceed a billion euros possible in Europe? “In theory yes.” explains the boss of the FDJ. “The situation in Europe is that we have a large Euromillions community and a large EuroJackpot community with many countries but which are not quite at the same level in terms of jackpots. It’s not like many countries are “lottery orphans.” Could one day these communities come together and play a game together? Maybe. This is not necessarily an immediate prospect but on paper, of course, it is a prospect that we should perhaps also wish for” specifies Stéphane Pallez, boss of Française des jeux.

Could some countries join, for example, the brand new EuroDreams game in the near future? “This game is a big innovation from the Euromillions community. There are countries in Europe which are not in the Euromillions community, which are also in other communities such as EuroJackpot or Vikinglotto. These countries, I think they will watch EuroDreams with great interest, wondering if it is not something that might be of interest to them. » specifies Stéphane Pallez, boss of La Française des jeux. “We say to ourselves that we can also create an extended family, a blended family. We might welcome other countries. We will see if they are interested but they will see, in real life, how this game, I hope, will be a success. I think it has the potential to be attractive to other countries. So we are not closed to the idea of welcoming other countries if other countries wanted to join us. » explains the boss of the FDJ.
