School “undergoing full investigation”… Office of Education “Psychological Counseling Support”
▲ Incheon Police Agency, Art, Namdong-gu, Incheon. The police began an investigation following receiving a report that a convenience store owner in Incheon sexually harassed female students from a nearby elementary school.
According to the Women and Youth Crime Investigation Unit of the Incheon Police Agency on the 20th, a report was recently received that a 40-year-old business owner, Mr. A, sexually harassed regarding 20 female students, including Miss B, at a convenience store near an elementary school in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon. Mr. A is accused of sexually harassing Ms. B by making her sit on his lap or touching her body.
On this day, the police were found to have accompanied Mr. A voluntarily and investigated the facts.
Previous reports were made when parents who heard regarding the molestation from the victims informed the school.
The school is currently conducting a full investigation into sexual harassment victims by grade level. So far, 18 students have been found to be victims.
An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education said, “We are monitoring the situation as the number of victimized students may increase further,” and added, “We plan to provide psychological counseling services to the victimized students.”
