NYON, Switzerland (AP) — Defending champions Barcelona will face Benfica, Rosengard and Eintracht Frankfurt in the group stage of the Women’s Champions League.

Barcelona beat Benfica and Rosengard in the group stage last year.

The 16-team draw, which was held this Friday, also brought Chelsea and Real Madrid into the same group for the second year in a row. Paris and Hacken complement that sector.

Paris advanced following two rounds of qualifying to reach the group stage. The unexpected French team beat Wolfsburg, who lost to Barcelona in last year’s final, and Arsenal, a semi-finalist in 2022.

In addition, Paris Saint-Germain was in the same sector with Bayern Munich, Roma and Ajax, and the eight-time champions from Lyon will face Slavia Prague, Brann and St. Polten.

Lyon striker Ada Hegerberg, the first woman to win the Ballon d’Or in 2018, might face her sister Andrine, who is part of Brann.

The group stage is scheduled to begin on November 14 and end on January 31. Two teams from each sector will advance to the quarterfinals.

The final is scheduled to be played on May 25, in Bilbao, Spain.
