At Restaurant Chez Nina in Amsterdam West you can eat fantastic vegetarian food!
Chez Nina was founded by Swedish chef Nina Olsson. She is truly an icon in the field of vegetarian food: you may know her from one of her four cookbooks or her blog Nourish Atelier. Chez Nina’s menu is completely vegetarian, with many vegan and gluten-free options. She often works with local suppliers and makes as much as possible from scratch. And that creates extremely surprising and innovative dishes, super fresh ingredients and fresh flavors!

As soon as we enter, Chez Nina makes us happy. The interior is light, with wood, marble and plants, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming. We love places like this! And the menu makes us even happier. It is a shared dining menu, so you can choose your favorite dishes from the à la carte section. But it is even more fun to choose the Tasting Menu. You will then be surprised with Nina’s tastiest dishes! We won’t reveal all the secrets of this menu, but we will highlight a few highlights for you.

Bieten carpaccio in pinda bucatini
We start immediately with a winner: a vegetarian Coer de Boeuf. Wafer-thinly sliced beetroot served as carpaccio, dressed with cornichons and horseradish cream. Nice and colorful and fresh, and with exciting flavors! The eggplant itameshi roll is also very exciting: Asian flavors are combined with a sesame-shiso cream, really special! Our absolute highlight was the peanut bucatini: delicious thick pasta with an Asian twist due to the chili peanut sauce with cavolo nero.

Be sure to save room for the desserts! Here too, there are exciting flavors on the menu. For example, we ate crispy filo pastry with ricotta, blueberries and a hint of rose. And the dark chocolate cream is also fantastic: it is made extra exciting by the addition of apricot and pastis.
We had a very delicious meal at Chez Nina! Definitely go here for a nice evening out with friends or an intimate date.
