Companies’ equity share must be higher – government parties have been blocking FPÖ applications for this for years!
Vienna (OTS) – A yes to the return of the hotel and travel guide came from FPÖ tourism spokesman NAbg. Gerald Hauser in his speech today in the National Council. However, this step alone is not enough to advance tourism overall. “We Freedom Party members have been submitting important motions for years, but these have been postponed or rejected by the governing parties ÖVP and Greens for years. It is particularly urgent to increase the equity ratio of tourism businesses. The location can only be strengthened if there are appropriate incentives for investment in tourism. Politics must support the economy in doing business,” said Hauser.
“Strengthening equity capital would be easy to implement – for example by upgrading hidden reserves and the possibility of writing off contributed equity capital. Another point concerns employees in tourism. These are missing everywhere – and here, too, far too little is being done by the government,” criticized the liberal tourism spokesman, who has been particularly committed to private landlords for years, whose services would contribute a lot to the acceptance of tourism. Hauser finally announced that he would also discuss the future of skiing in Austria in the next tourism committee: “70 euros per day for a lift ticket – that is simply no longer affordable for the vast majority of people. We need a solution here so that skiing remains attractive.”
