CCF is arriving quickly with its multitude of concerts which stretch over 11 days, from November 2 to 12, in several venues in Montreal. Here are the 6 concerts that you should not miss according to LCA.

The King, The Rose and The Lou[p] – November 4 and 6 at Club Soda at 8 p.m.

If you were there during the first edition of this concert which features three artists on the rise at the Francos in 2022, you missed something. Fortunately, the CCF is here to ensure that your ears are spoiled on a medium-term basis. Ariane Roy, Thierry Larose et Lou-Adriane Cassidy. As the three artists share musicians, it gives a result that flows naturally on stage. If you wanted to see it on November 4 and were disappointed not to get your hands on tickets, an extra is happening two days later and it’s going to be just as enjoyable.

$38.75 | Club Soda | 4 and 6 November 2023 | 20h | Billets

Julia Jean-Baptiste, Palatine and Malaimer Soleil – November 4 at the Lion d’Or at 8 p.m.

Here are two French projects and one from Quebec that deserve your attention. If like some, you don’t have tickets for The King, The Rose and the Lou[p], well, don’t be sad! You have a great gig waiting for you. Julia Jean-Baptiste makes inventive pop with very beautiful melodies and convincing lyrics, Palatine is a master at creating atmosphere with his music and Malaime Soleil also offers a good proposition and has just launched its first album. There is no doubt, it will be one of the best concerts of this edition of CCF.

Corail & Duu – November 7 at the Lion d’Or at 8 p.m.

Well, you’re going to tell us: we know, it’s the Canal Auditif evening… But if we haven’t chosen to join in on this evening, it’s because we think it’s going to be quite a concert. Coral, the duo of two well-loved musicians on the Quebec independent scene: Philippe Noël and Julien Comptour! This will be an opportunity to discover the songs from their album Maison published in September. Twoit is the project of Étienne Dupré, a bassist who is known in particular for his participation in Klô Pelgag’s group, but who was also in Caltâr-Bateau and many other projects. Twoit’s daring, testing, but also a concern to have pieces that hold together well.

24,44$ | Cabaret Lion d’Or | 7 novembre | 20h | Billets

Viviane Audet – November 8 at Petit Outremont at 8 p.m.

I don’t know if you’ve had time to listen to the new album by Viviane Audet, but it’s worth a watch if you like smart pop. There we find effective texts, surprising melodies and successful arrangements. It’s definitely an album that’s worth checking out if you haven’t already. Just like his show to present the songs during CCF!

Between $23.25 and $34.25 | Little Outremont | November 8 | 8 p.m. | Billets

Paul Sèxe Band & le cabaret d’la fin du monde – November 8 at Verre Bouteille at 9 p.m.

There’s nothing better than a little fight once morest wild capitalism to have a good evening. After the separation of Sèxe Illégal, Paul Sexe goes solo accompanied by well-known musicians on the Quebec rock scene: Elyze Venne-Deshaies and Lydia Champagne (Nüshu). It will brew in the Glass Bottle!

Fanny Bloom & Beau Nectar – November 10 at the Lion d’Or

Fanny Bloom has just released his new album, Holistic, and will present the songs on stage. That’s already worth the detour. In the first part, there will be a Franco-Canadian duo which is worth the detour: Beau Nectar. The female duo has just won several awards at Trille Or in September and offers uninhibited pop with convincing melodies. A beautiful evening in perspective.
