(Alliance News) – Piaggio & C. Spa announced on Thursday that a contract has been signed with Foton Motor Group in Beijing for the joint development of a new range of electric Porters.
“Piaggio’s range of commercial vehicles will thus be enriched with two new electric four-wheel variants, designed to best meet the specific needs of intra-urban mobility, thanks to the combination of compact dimensions and load capacity of at least one ton, particularly high for its category,” the company explains in a note.
The new Porter electric range will be produced in the Piaggio group’s Italian factories in Pontedera and distributed by the end of 2024 in the main European countries “through a highly specialized network in the sale and service of commercial vehicles, oriented towards maximum satisfaction client”.
