“They massacred everyone in cold blood”, the dramatic accounts of the Hamas attack on the music festival in Israel
Since then, his relatives had no news regarding his whereregardings, so they suspected that he had been captured by Hamas.
Matías Burstein was the father of two girls and his wife is still missing
The man, father of two girls aged 9 and 12had gone to that event with his wife Einav, who is still missing.
The Burstein’s mother, Fanny Surpinwrote on the social network Facebook that his son “was murdered in cold blood by Hamas“, and added that he still has “some hope of recovering our daughter-in-law.”
Likewise, he lamented the “cruel end” that his son met, who was kidnapped by Hamas forces and later killedin the midst of the general chaos caused by that episode, which unleashed a war in the region.
From Facebook, Fanny Surpin wrote to the journalist Eleonora Cole to inform her of the sad news: “Yesterday we had the interview, I wish and feel obliged to inform you and Paulino Rodríguez that Tomorrow we will say goodbye to our beloved son Matías Burstein, who was murdered in cold blood by Hamas and with a small hope of recovering our daughter-in-law, of whom we still have no news. Thank you for being interested in telling our story which, unfortunately, had a cruel end.”
The fate of the Hamas hostages: buried alive, hidden, deported or executed?
The last image of Burstein alive was seen in the middle of traffic chaos on a route, where he complained – in Hebrew – regarding this inconvenience.
In this way, Burstein became the eighth Argentine killed following the outbreak of the conflict.
Given the nature of the events, the Argentine government carried out different flights to bring back those who had requested repatriation.
The conflict, which has only been going on for ten days, has already left thousands dead and might have unexpected consequences if other countries in the region get involved.
