Edinburgh – Scotland, one of the member states of the UK, has said that it is ready to provide shelter to the people of Gaza who are being displaced as the Israel-Palestine conflict escalates. “Scotland has welcomed people from Syria, Ukraine and many other countries. It will continue. “Scotland is the first country in the UK to provide protection to the victims of the attacks in Gaza,” said First Minister Hamza Yusuf. Hamza Yusuf also invited the international community to launch an ‘international refugee programme’ for the one million displaced people in Gaza. The minister also asked the UK government to take necessary steps.

“We are ready to treat wounded men, women and children in Gaza. My brother-in-law is a doctor in Gaza. He talks on the phone regarding the massacres in Gaza. Necessary items are not available in hospitals. Nurses are faced with the most difficult decision of who to treat and who to let die. It should not be allowed” – Hamza Yusuf said. Hamza Yusuf’s family, who went to visit relatives in Gaza, are stuck in the area.
