It is strongly recommended to update your graphics card drivers in order to enjoy your favorite video games in optimal conditions. However, it sometimes happens that an update prevents you (for various reasons) from launching a particular title. AMD recently achieved the feat of banning certain owners of its graphics cards from Counter-Strike 2. The fault lies with the new Anti-Lag+ feature which aims to reduce input lag (technology equivalent to Nvidia Reflex). Valve, the publisher of the shooter, confirmed that this feature was the cause of the problem and invited players with an AMD card to deactivate Anti-Lag+. This issue would also affect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, and would cause crashes in Apex Legends. AMD has removed the update and is currently redirecting players to the previous version of its drivers.

We had to wait eight months to finally see the first images of the Nintendo Switch port of the most ambitious Harry Potter game ever created. Pre-orders for this version of Hogwarts Legacy are now open and offer the Standard (€59.99) and Digital Deluxe (€69.99) editions which include the Dark Magic additional pack. It remains to be seen whether the adventure on Nintendo Switch lives up to those on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and finally Xbox Series X/S. According to the first visuals presented, Nintendo’s hybrid console suffers from an expected downgrade, the machine being much less powerful than its competitors, but compensates for this with respected artistic direction. The questions of fluidity of the experience (the framerate), clipping and possible bugs still remain unanswered.

The chaotic launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2020 will have had a lasting impact on CD Projekt RED, which does not intend to repeat the mistakes made in the past on its dystopian Action-RPG.
