Guidance system: This is how rally fans can find their way to the fan zones in a relaxed manner

When the entire three-country region is in rally fever at the end of October, the population of the Mühlviertel will skyrocket for a few days. Tens of thousands of visitors will make a pilgrimage to the Inn and Mühlviertel to experience the global elite of rally sport live. A comprehensive spectator guidance concept is intended to provide visitors with a maximum of action and motorsport fascination while at the same time meeting the high standards of a sustainable event.

There will be several spectator points at each of the 18 special stages that are on the World Cup rally program between Thursday and Sunday. As soon as they arrive, visitors are welcomed with open arms: a clearly visible guidance system that assigns each special stage its own color makes orientation in the rally region easier. Details can be found on the event homepage centraleuropeanrally.eu

Direct streams of spectators

A major focus of the organizers of the Central European Rally is on directing the flow of spectators. The route to each individual spectator point is clearly signposted, with the color indicating which test you are taking. The path always leads to a parking lot, from which you then continue on foot.
The landscape of the event region means that traffic routing for spectator traffic must be carefully planned. This also applies to the parking areas. Some required parking spaces are on unpaved meadows that cannot be used if there is too much rain and are replaced by alternative areas. If parking is further away, shuttle buses are sometimes used for feeder traffic.

Cooperation desired

In order to avoid that scarce parking spaces are overrun and access to spectator points has to be blocked, the organizers are calling on visitors to cooperate: Forming carpools not only makes sense for reasons of sustainability, it also helps to reduce traffic jams in the rally area. With the ADAC Pendlernetz app (at pendlernetz.de), visitors can easily find like-minded people to share the car and the rally fun. Special treat: Anyone who drives to the parking lot with at least four people in the vehicle will receive tickets corresponding to the number of occupants and will take part in a raffle where attractive prizes can be won every day.

From the visitor parking spaces, fans can walk to the spectator points – although the journey is usually not far. At each exam, different points invite you to visit. Where a viewing point is set up, visitors can rely on services. You will find locations practically everywhere with a good view of the action on the route.

Catering stands are responsible for providing food, and sometimes a speaker moderates the event for the guests. At some spectator hotspots there are even large LED screens that provide further information.

Rally fun for everyone

One of the Central Europe Rally’s concerns is to open the doors wide for visitors with disabilities. At each special stage there is therefore at least one spectator point with places that are suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Visitors with camper vans are also in good hands in the rally region, as they will find a number of fully equipped campsites in the surrounding area. A list of operators and contacts is available on the event homepage.

Musical warm-up training with “Folkshilfe”

As a warm-up for the World Rally Championship race, “folkshilfe” will be playing directly in the fan zone in Peilstein on October 27th. The winners of the “Amadeus Award” have hits like “Hau di her” and “Simone” in their program as well as songs from their new album “Vire”. Admission to the Union Dreihans Peilstein arena starts at 2 p.m. Visitors can follow the first special stages in the Czech Republic on a large video wall. The group “Mundhoat” appears as the opening act, joined by “The Voice” discovery Nana Falkner. Folkshilfe starts at 8 p.m. The party goes into extra time with DJ icing on the cake.
