A 32-year-old woman was seriously injured while a six-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the US in a crime linked to the Israel-Hamas war. Police have charged a 71-year-old man in the attack in suburban Chicago. He revealed to the police that he attacked the two men as a reaction to the war between Israel and Hamas.
The incident came following police found the two men at their home in an unincorporated area of Plainfield Township, regarding 40 miles (65 kilometers) southwest of Chicago. The child died on arrival at the hospital. The woman had multiple stab wounds on her body. According to the police, the owner of the house where they lived is behind the attack.
