Spermidine is a substance produced naturally in the body and is also found in many foods. It extends the life of yeast, flies and mice and is therefore considered a promising anti-aging agent. As a study now shows, it also promotes fertility in older female mice.
Another study on pig eggs showed similar effects. Researchers suspect that spermidine could also help older women who want to have children. Additional spermidine could help ovaries with cell renewal and thus increase fertility.
