Dubai, 17 October / WAM / As part of its participation in the “GITEX Global 2023” exhibition, Digital Dubai organized the graduation ceremony for the second and third batches of the Cybersecurity Leaders Program “CISO Executive Program”, which comes within the CyberNode initiative, one of the initiatives of the Dubai Cybersecurity Innovation Park. Affiliated with the Dubai Electronic Security Center in Digital Dubai.
The program seeks to develop the capabilities and skills of leaders in the field of cybersecurity in various governmental and semi-governmental agencies, and the private sector. It also represents a great opportunity for officials in the field of cybersecurity in the emirate, as it focuses on providing them with the necessary skills that will enable them to obtain the “Cybersecurity Leader (CISO)” certificate.
The second and third batches include 26 participants from 22 government agencies from the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, while the complex began the training program for the fourth batch. Which lasts for 5 months, with an average of four training days each month.
The “Cyber Security Leaders” program includes a training scenario for information security leaders that simulates potential global cyber risks. It provides a realistic and effective environment for testing cyber security capabilities, with the aim of developing the experiences of participants in the program and training them to deal fully professionally with various cyber risks.
Amer Sharaf, Executive Director of the Cybersecurity Systems and Services Sector at the Dubai Cybersecurity Center, pointed out that a new achievement has been achieved in the course of the Cybersecurity Leadership Program with the graduation of the second and third batches, which reinforces the Dubai Cybersecurity Strategy, which aims to employ technological innovations to support and protect the digital services system. And qualifying a new generation of experts specialized in cybersecurity, which will consolidate Dubai International City’s leadership in this field and develop advanced solutions that meet the needs and aspirations of entities.
The “Cybersecurity Leaders” program provides participants with a more comprehensive understanding of their roles in their organizations, in addition to providing them with the opportunity to interact and communicate with experts in the field of cybersecurity. It also highlights cybersecurity laws and legislation, and planning and implementing a cybersecurity strategic roadmap for organizations. In addition to discussing the most prominent topics in the field of digital transformation, security challenges, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, cloud security, cyber resilience, crisis management and incident handling.
The top 3 winners of the (Capture the UAE Flag) challenge were also honored with gifts worth more than 40,000 UAE dirhams, including training courses within the Cyber Node initiative. The winner of the 100-day challenge announced by the Dubai Cyber Security Center in September 2023 will be honored with a sum of 20,000 dirhams, for presenting a project to develop an open source solution to detect and prevent cyber intrusions and alert users the moment they occur.
It is noteworthy that the Dubai Cyber Security Innovation Complex, affiliated with the Dubai Cyber Security Center; It was launched during the Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference, “GISEC Global 2022”, and has conducted a wide range of intensive training courses for various government agencies and private sector institutions in Dubai, with the aim of developing specialized competencies in the field of cybersecurity, and creating modern technology that will support Dubai’s vision of achieving prosperity. The economy that keeps pace with the smart transformation of the emirate on the one hand, and consolidates the security of its cyberspace on the other hand.
