It has now been more than three months since little Émile, aged two and a half, disappeared in the village of Haut-Vernet. Investigations are still ongoing. The investigation, which went from “disturbing disappearance” to “kidnapping of a minor and sequestration”, experienced a twist this Tuesday. As reported by Le Parisien, gendarmes from the Marseille research section and the local gendarmerie group are carrying out a search in a house which has attracted the attention of the police.

Disappearance of little Emile: should we rule out the domestic incident disguised by the family? “Everything can still change”

Indeed, the occupant of the premises would present a sufficiently “interesting” profile to make him a potential suspect. A source close to the investigation told Le Parisien that the man would “be talked regarding because he does not correspond to local codes”. The latter is also known to the courts for minor offenses.

Faced with this search, the Aix-en-Provence public prosecutor mentioned a “deepening of investigations in progress or already carried out” but did not mention police custody for the moment.
