The Nintendo 64 is a console loved by many people to this day, being one of the most purchased video games by so-called retrogamers. Now Analogue will launch a modern console that allows you to play the entire Nintendo 64 game library, but with interesting additions such as 4K image support, filters that simulate old televisions and much more.

According to Analog, the console will be capable of running the entire Nintendo 64 game library (including all regions) without using emulation thanks to an integrated FPGA chip that brings improved capacity compared to Nintendo’s original video game.

Among the new features are support for 4K resolution, four ports for connecting original Nintendo 64 controls, but the console can also be used with wireless Bluetooth controls, making the game more interesting.

To this end, Analog is working with 8BitDo to create a wireless control for 3D, which has already had an image released showing a minimalist, functional and ergonomic look.

The console called Analog 3D will also support display mode filters similar to the original CRT screens and televisions for which Nintendo 64 games were created. This means that even though the image is 4K, the games will look the same as you remember from your childhood.

Unfortunately there is still no official launch date or price for the Analog 3D, but the company claims that it will hit the market sometime in 2024.
