He stressed the importance of remembering and fulfilling the promises made to Palestine over the years, instead of taking provocative measures that worsen the crisis.
Ten days following the start of the conflict with the Palestinian group Hamas, the Israeli bombing and blockade of the Gaza Strip continued, with more than a million people displaced – almost half of Gaza’s total population – according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The fighting began when Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket fire and infiltrations into Israel by land and sea. and aerial. He said the incursion was in retaliation for incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the escalation of settler violence.
The Israeli army then launched Operation Iron Swords once morest Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
The toll of Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza has risen to at least 2,750, including 750 children.
