The gourmet temple in the heart of Vienna invited people to a delicacy tasting following the store closed.
Julius Meinl am Graben hosted the Meinl Gourmet Night for the eighth time. Gourmets had the opportunity to sample the house’s range. The visitors were also able to get to know the national and international suppliers personally and find out more regarding the products. Culinary and beverage offerings were offered across all departments on both floors of the gourmet temple.
Highlights
In addition to caviar, product and brand highlights such as salmon and wild boar ham were tasted. The unique Wagyu nigiri was particularly popular. Local gourmets also enjoyed the pastrami from the Osnabrück sausage and ham manufacturer Bedford and the Italian Prosciutto Cotto al Tartufo Nero. The gourmet tasting was rounded off with, among other things, Boll & Cie Champagne Grand Cru and Rosé, Quinta da Corte port wine and Bodegas Tradicion Sherry.
Managing director Udo Kaubek was pleased regarding the large number of people showing up: “The Meinl Gourmet Night is always something very special for us, because here customers get a look behind the scenes and get to know our excellent suppliers.”
The invitation was followed by prominent guests such as city councilor Peter Hanke, presenter Arabella Kiesbauer, the baritones Clemens Unterreiner and Daniel Serafin, Adi Hirschal and many more.
