As you probably know, the emblematic voice actor of Super Mario (and Luigi, and Wario…) Charles Martinet retired last August. Also, fans were very curious to know who would be able to lend their voice to the Nintendo character, starting with the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder coming this week (just like the full game test). The Japanese giant has put an end to the suspense, and we now know the new voice of Super Mario.

Kevin Afghani succeeds Charles Martinet, and gives voice to Super Mario

And it is Kevin Afghani who will have the honor of dubbing the most famous plumber in video games. Although his name is probably unknown to you, his voice is undoubtedly reminiscent of the old incarnation of Mario, and that’s a good thing.

For the record, following having lent his voice to these emblematic characters of the Nintendo universe for almost three decades, Charles Martinet officially passes the torch to Kevin Afghani, known for having voiced characters such as Raditz in the Dragon Ball series R&R or even Arnold in the video game Genshin Impact.
