‘Free Palestine’; Tens of thousands protest in Western countries
London: Demonstrations around the world have become a sea of protests in solidarity with Palestine as Israel intensifies its attack on Gaza.
While the protests were held in Arab countries on Friday, the world witnessed tens of thousands of demonstrations in support of Palestine on Saturday in Western countries that have declared unwavering support for Israel.
Protests were held in various cities in the United States, including New York and Washington, with the slogan ‘Free Palestine’. In Times Square, ‘Netanyahu, how many children have you killed today?’ The protest was held with placards. Earlier, more than 200 American colleges had observed Defense Day.
Protesters also gathered at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva to demand that the peace process be strengthened.
In Britain, there was a march of tens of thousands on Downing Street, where Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s office is located.
