Immense machines; almost as big as heavy goods vehicles. For the first time they are presented to the public in Europe: at the bourgeois port of Ascona, on the shore of Lake Maggiore, at the Ascona LandYachting Show. Silvan Dahinden, director of Mobil center dahinden, exclusive dealer in Switzerland for the Concorde brand, shows us around the Centurion. A behemoth 12 meters long, 4 meters high and 2.5 meters wide, or even more. Because here, with the help of a button, everything becomes extendable, recessed, sliding; the kitchen, the counters, the table, the giant TV, the cream leather sofas…
“This vehicle is made for living; It’s a house on wheels. If you want to spend six months in Spain, it’s perfect,” says Silvan Dahinden, specifying that fridge, freezer, (electric) stove, dishwasher, heating system and bed king-size are identical to those that equip our cottages… And the batteries, solar-powered fuel, guarantee a week of autonomy, if the weather is good.
